Future

Derived from the Latin word futurus, holds a great question mark in our lives at some point of time. Not because if it is unknown it wouldn't come to us. But, because if we do not sow the seeds of a tree whose fruits we'd like to eat someday- we might be eating some other fruit which may or may not fulfill our desire.
I am an escapist. Back in the school days I used to persevere to excel in a math topic and would feel triumphant after doing that. However, it was that one topic that I used to excel at, not the entire math. Which means I did not have the all rounder stamina but that of an expert. This realization is important for me as it defines who I am today and what I can be tomorrow. Perseverance can get you places. But which place you want to go need to be frozen before you start the process. My personality is strongly influenced from where I originate but the wings that I have developed out of my desires to fly high in foreign skies, will take me places. There is fear, doubt and insecurity. There is lack of feel-good factor and go-ahead signal. But I move on.
That was not the future I selected. Its the future that I have crafted.
Circumstances, people and emotions are variables. They can be altered to give a certain shape to your situation. When it goes awry, it is for the fact that we have forgotten life's ongoing tryst and our preparedness for it.
Sometimes there are situations where you are the person in question and you do not have the answer ! You look outside, you look inside, something is right, something is wrong, wrong is right and right is wrong and you are left alone. That is when you see a question mark. A future question mark.
