And a year later, I re-discover the writer in me and hence follow these words.
There is always some magic in 'creating'. Be it an idea, a concept, a theory or an organisation - it is your baby! Today I am working for an organisation which is the master of M&A's and has grown massively over the years. Sometimes I wonder, what is it that I can contribute to this business of sales? Am I in the right shoes? Am I suppose to be here at all? But then it strikes me, there's always been a commonality between a theatre enthusiast, a salesman and an ad-man. They all strived to be actors. Stage was the temple where they performed in the spotlight of their bright souls. They enjoyed their work for they believed in living what Shakespeare had once written. Words create magic, when inacted they bring to life that very magic which otherwise was just heard of ! Wonder and awe is all I have for this art. However, I expect more from myself in this regard. Performances get better after practising and no matter what, it is the same persistence which made King George VI remarkable in his job! Persistence brings with itself trauma of being a student who becomes perfect each time he rehearses his lessons. That rehearsal finally gives him his moment of glory. As it s wisely said, success is momentary. It is upon us, whether to glorify a shooting star in the depth of a night sky or the mysterious sky itself.
