After a courtship of 2 years with the man in my life, I decide to go in for the official announcement called "Marriage".
Ah! Woooh ! What What ?? Hmmm .... Woahhhhhhh !!! These are the comments pouring in from friends and family. Lots of blessings and good luck for sure. But looks like a big leap of faith that I've taken to the onlookers. I guess its just having come this far :) And being happy with it. So much that when you look back it feels like yesterday !
Fairytales are pure fiction and needs a mind to toy with. Every story of ours is epic enough to be told and celebrated. Afterall, drama of life deserves an applause.
When we take that sigh of nosaligia about the good old days we need to remind ourselves that life has always been a forward looking journey. Just the people, experiences, places, moods and reactions keep changing. They act as milestones, marking our progress.
I would however, make a confession here. Change is necessary but its transition period requires great endurance. A new life with another human with the purpose of recreating what our parents did is not easy. It is scary ! Especially when you think of how you've grown so much and those tender childhood memories still make your eyes wet. Its like a particular stage of life has been accomplished and another one has begun. And surprisingly, the doer is your-self. What an illusion !
Phew! An escape from this self-created illusion ?
Maybe, a change of perspective would help.
So, I'd like to believe that all those people who love me and made me who I am today shall be there wherever I am. We might leave each other for a while but will definitely meet sooner that we ever think.
